reciprocity Ethics

You believe that everything should be fair and have a strong sense of justice. Receiving gifts is not easy for you since you typically feel an obligation to repay people for gifts. Favors and actions should always be returned. You constantly find yourself analyzing people's actions to see if you owe them anything or if they owe you.

The Bad: Not all the time but this framework can lead people to be manipulative. You may sometimes do a small act so people feel pressure to do something in exchange. Moving next weekend? Then you might let a friend borrow your truck today so they have to help you.

A big scholar for Reciprocity is Alvin Gouldner and you can read more here!

I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine.
